Hawai‘i Neurological Society Award for medical students showing exceptional promise in the field of neurology
The Hawai‘i Neurological Society (HNS) is pleased to sponsor the Hawai‘i Neurological Society Award for medical students showing exceptional promise in the field of neurology.
The HNS will offers award annually to one medical student at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine. The recipient will receive $500 and his or her name will be inscribed on a plaque which will be displayed at the medical school.
In order to apply for this award, the following requirements must be met:
- The applicant must be a current medical student enrolled at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).
- The applicant must be in his or her MS2 or MS3 year as of May 1.
- The applicant must be an active member of JABSOM’s Student Interest Group in Neurology and Psychiatry (SIGNAP).
- Applicants must complete and submit an Award Application Form, and include their CV, Letter of Interest outlining their activities relevant to the field of neurology, and a Letter of Support from a JABSOM faculty member or a neurologist who is an active member of the HNS.
All eligible nominees who have fulfilled the above requirements will be considered as candidates for the award. The board of the HNS will elect one recipient from among these candidates.
